"Blessed is the man to whom the Lord does not impute iniquity, And in whose spirit there is no deceit."
'My great Forgiver of sins, the One who covers them with a priceless payment (cf. Psalm 32:1) and then separates them from me as far as the east is from the west where there is no end and the two shall never meet again (cf. Psalm 103:12), I'm moved this morning by Your love. You have chosen love over hatred simply because it's who You are, and You have chosen me for reasons I simply cannot understand. I confess that my heart has affections for things other than You and they're usually centered around making much of me. Now I stand in the promise that I'm forgiven and cleansed of all unrighteousness (cf I John 1:9). For that I am among the most blessed of all mankind and am at peace (cf. Romans 5:1) that You have not charged my sins against me.
By way of thanks, I pray that my life would be bathed in Your grace knowing that I possess the power to be victorious over my idolatries (cf I Corinthians 10:13). I also want to vigilantly consider the sacrifice of Jesus, offered in order that I might be blessed. To simply say "thank you" is not enough; I want to live "thank you". May the joy of my salvation overtake my will to become joyful in me. Go before me today, Lord, and may I not go before You. And if I do march ahead, I pray You'd show me in order that I might confess yet again, refraining from deceitfully trying to cover my own wicked ways, knowing that You know and see all and stand ready to forgive yet again, and again and again.
For the sake of Your great love for me I pray.'
