"The Lord gives freedom to the prisoners.
The Lord opens the eyes of the blind;
The Lord raises those who are bowed down;
The Lord loves the righteous.
The Lord watches over the strangers;
He relieves the fatherless and widow;
But the way of the wicked He turns upside down."
The Lord gives, opens, raises, loves, watches and relieves. All verbs describing what He does... simultaneously, in parallel, concurrently, and in an orchestrated fashion that never limits one recipient at the expense of another nor ceases to expire even though its continuous outpouring has flowed for millennia. The multiplicity of His actions over and upon the universe cannot be grasped. They're being exercised as I now write, going out as I sleep, continuing on as I wake... all the while I'm rarely thinking of them, presuming upon His nature and control. These things I take for granted.
But it seems that He's doing more for some over others. In my immediate vision and earshot, I witness blessing upon many who do not and never have professed Jesus as their superior. Yes, He is pouring out favor even upon them and withholding the fierce wrath that could consume them in a nanosecond. He's also withholding wrath from me, but the primary difference in His outpouring to the favored verses unfavored is temporal verses eternal. Sometimes even the temporal gifts are showered upon His chosen, but not always, nor promised. The greater gifts are not material, but supernatural and spiritual. I possess sight, I possess hope, I possess righteousness, I possess belonging, I possess a Father, and I possess a Husband. All of this because of God's indescribable character of giving, opening, raising, loving, watching and relieving His beloved.
I'm beloved.
