Psalm 147:5, 19-20

"Great is our Lord, and mighty in power;

His understanding is infinite.

He declares His word to Jacob,

His statutes and His judgments to Israel.

He has not dealt thus with any nation;
And as for His judgments, they have not known them.

Praise the Lord!"

How great is my God? Has anyone fully known or experienced the fullness of His greatness? His power is mighty. His knowledge and understanding knows no ends; they extend as far as the east is from the west and continue beyond what any human mind could possibly comprehend. The extent of Him and all He is has hardly been revealed, and if it were shown in all its glory it would be too much to take in. God's goodness and wrath are limitless, and He hasn't dealt with mankind to His fullest on either end of the continuum. The completeness of His goodness will culminate in heaven, and the comprehensiveness of His wrath will culminate at judgment and in hell.

We walk in this life mindless of how broad and far reaching He is. I live this way, much to my own chagrin. But those who do not know Him live this way without chagrin. And for those who think they know Him but really do not, they're in an even more dangerous position than those who are completely ignorant. They think they're safe, but they're indeed in a perilous place; the crafty work of the prince of darkness at his best. I fear most for those who have heard and rejected, but think they've accepted only to live a rejecting lifestyle. "As for His judgments, they have not known them."

For me, He has declared His word, just as He did for Jacob. And for me, He has declared and revealed His judgments as He did for Israel. I must also then declare as the Psalmist, "Praise the Lord."
